Approval

I am pleased to tell you that we have approved in principle your application for a New Zealand resident visa.

When will we issue your resident visas?

We will issue your resident visas when you have met the requirements set out in the following paragraphs.

Passports

Please send us your passport and a passport for each member of your family included in your application. Please ensure that each passport is valid for at least one year this is so we can issue resident visas valid for a year to give you the most time to enter New Zealand. Please also ensure that each passport has one completely blank visa page.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please examine each passport before sending it to us to ensure it is in an acceptable condition. If your passport is damaged you may need to obtain a new one before we can issue visas into it.

Migrant levy

The migrant levy is a one-off payment which is used to fund or contribute to the funding of programmes intended to assist the successful settlement of migrants.
